The Lachlan District Womans Rugby league Club have made a successful debut this season into the Western Women’s Rugby League Competition and everyone is encouraged to come along and enjoy a big day packed full of games and see some amazing local female talent in action this Saturday at Pioneer Oval in Parkes. Games in Parkes this Saturday kick off at 9.30 am

Last weekend the club travelled to dubbo and had a lot of hard and physical games, however the 18s came out on top and remain undefeated and on top of the table. Stevie Jackson of Forbes said “Our u18s side is full of amazing talent young talent with Georgie Coote being named for the second year in a row to South Sydney Rabbitohs Tarsha Gale Side, Tegan Smede being signed to Illawarra Steelers for Tarsha Gale, Liz MacGregor to Roosters Tarsha Gale and all 3 girls also play in our opens side as well”.

Star player Elizabeth MacGregor told us “We went into the season with low numbers and not knowing what it would look like for us as a whole new club and a team made up of girls from all seperate teams in the comp but we have really come together as a team and had some tough wins. Defeating Woodbrige, Vipers and Goannas which seem to be the top teams in the comp has been a huge effort. We have a strong forward pack and a quick back line and just skilful players across the whole team. Definitely exciting to be undefeated so far especially for a debut season as a new club.
